Death Clan Camp

I fly in and go into the leaders den. I fall asleep.

I hover over the death camp, looking around. I see something in the leaders den that looks asleep. Its a bald eagal that i havent seen before, but then again, I just got here. 'Wow she's a heavy sleeper,' I think.

I wake up and fly in front of the hypogriff thats hovering over the camp. "May I help you?"

"I just got here. I've been traveling around the world and heard of the death clan. I'm the hypogriff that you talked to awhile ago. You said I could join." I tell the bird in front of me.

"Yes, I remember you. My deputy died last week. He was killed in a battle with a rouge."

"I'm sorry. I wish there was someway I could help." I said, wondering what brought her to say that so suddenly.

I fly in next to Velvia. "hey Velvia wassup?"

"Hello," I say calmly, looking up at the gigantic dragon. I realized that it would be awfully hard to see him at night, him being so black.

"Im going back to my den now." I fly to my den.

"Wassup hypogriff thing?" I say humorously. "You joining the clan?"

'Hypogriff thing? Really?' I think but really I say, "Ya, I've been traveling around on my own since I was born. I heard about this clan and I figured I might as well join."

"Train me in what? I know about everything you have to teach me besides you're rituals. And I'm a fast learner. I don't need any mentor. I'm probably a better fighter than you're last deputy. He had others to back him up and he died. I've been on my own and I've fought, I haven't died yet. I'm not an apprentice." I tell him. Do I really look like I'm stupid? I'm a fully grown hipogriff and you can't judge an animal by his size compared to different species. Even though I'm a fully grown hipogriff, I'm not bigger than other dragons that aren't fully grown.

I glare at her. "Our deputy was hunting alone and killed by a group of rouges. There were at least 7, and they were strong. I think they were tigers or anything with sharp and huge claws because of the wounds that were on him. If you want to believe you were stronger then the deputy, fine with me. I'm sure you are a great fighter. But what would happen if you faced 3 full grown dragons like me? Thaqt wouldn't be pretty. So if you think you don't need a mentor or at least people to come with you on patrols or to hunt, then fine." I fly to my den.

I stand there in shock. Where had that come from? I said I didn't need a mentor. I'm willing to work with others, and I'm willing to learn. I don't need a mentor though. Didn't I say I needed to learn their cultures? Besides, if he was going to train me so I could fight dragons, then the deputy should have had known how to fight dragons, and therefor tigers. I've fought tigers before, and I've fought dragons. I know where their chinks are, and their weaknesses. Most dragons are big but that makes them slow. I'm smaller and vicious and way quicker. What he didn't know was that I'd fought with another clan once. One strong enough to kill their deputy. The one that did kill their deputy. No I couldn't and wouldn't fight Scourge, but I could kill tigers and most dragons other than him.

I zip out of my den and zoom away from camp. I fly towards Teak Wood Clan.
